Botany Poster Giveaway Rules

This survey and drawing are conducted and sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences (“Academy”). All individuals who create a Zooniverse Notes from Nature account and complete transcriptions while signed into said account will be entered to win a botanical-themed print designed by Ricardo Kriebel (the “Drawing”). NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO WIN.

This Drawing is open to individuals aged 18 or older who complete the transcription while logged into a Notes from Nature account except: Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives of the Academy and their immediate family members and those living in their household, and each person or entity connected with the production, or administration of the drawing, are not eligible to enter to win. Entrants must complete their transcription by February 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

There will be two winners. The winning transcriptions will be drawn at random from the final list of participants and contacted via direct message on the Notes for Nature platform between March 1 and March 9. The selected winner is requested to respond (as directed) to the direct message notification within 72 hours of attempted notification. The failure to respond to the notification within 72 hours will result in forfeiture of the prize and in such case the Academy will randomly select an alternate winner from among all remaining eligible entries. To receive prize, winner will need to provide name and mailing address for shipment of prize. Academy will not share or distribute information.
